Crosswalk accessibility design guidelines Map

Designing a crosswalk is never as simple as throwing down a sign and some white paint. There are many design considerations and requirements to meet if you want to properly accommodate different pedestrian accessibility needs.

Resources like Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessibility Guidelines, Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) each provided their own separate set of guidelines, but there was no one resource that combined all the relevant standards in one easy-to-digest package.

So, I created this design guidelines graphic, combining all three sets of standards into a single document—a great reference for the side of your desk.
